Places to Eat in York

York has an abundance of places to eat throughout the entire city. Whatever you are fancying you will be able to find a restaurant, café, pub or some street food to suit. Colliergate

York is very conveniently separated by the River Ouse, With Colliergate on one side and Micklegate on the other. Of course there’s a bridge a joining the two areas if you want to try both, but Colliergate packs a good punch on it’s own. A hugely popular pub turned bar that will blow your socks off is The Hop in York, complete with tiled floors and real ales to get you a little tipsy. Good to start the night here.

Around the corner from The Hop, you’ll find the unique Pivní pub which brings to like York’s medieval heritage to bring you an interesting place to have a pint or two. Serving artisan beers in a 16th century theme, Pivní is hard to say no to. Lastly, if you’d prefer something modern, easy and affordable there’s a Yates on the river to fill your boots with.
