What Happens on an Old School Sports Day Stag Do?

You lads will be split into teams (house teams) to compete against each other in a series of classic sports day games, with the winning team taking home the prize at the end of the day! But don’t worry, there’ll be lots of forfeits for the losers too. With an event co-ordinator to run the event, they will give you a short briefing at the start of the day. After competing in a host of hilarious challenges like an Egg & Spoon Race and Hula Hooping, you’ll go against each other in the tug-o-war finale before deciding who’s victorious.

What to Wear for an Old School Sports Day Stag Do?

As this is a physical activity with lots of running around, it’s best to opt for sporty, loose-fitting clothing for your event as well as standard sports trainers. You will also be provided with bibs on the day to determine each team. However, in the spirit of silliness, we highly recommend fancy dress for your old school sports day stag do, especially if you plan on taking a few pictures to capture the memories (we love to see them!)

Just like the old days, we mostly host this activity outdoors on all weather pitches.

I pre-booked the Old School Sports Day activity through Funktion Events for my best mates stag weekend and we had a brilliant time. We did all the old classic games and as we were all footy fans the instructor allowed the last 10mins of our session to have a quick game of football. The activity was great fun and a real laugh. The venue of Goals, Sheffield where we did the activity was brilliant too, helpful, friendly and attentive team. Would so recommend.
