Centred around Mosley Street and Collingwood Street, you’ll find the Diamond Strip right in the heart of the city, just on the doorstep of Newcastle train station.

Made famous by MTV’s legendary series, the Diamond Strip is where you and the lads should go to if you’re looking to experience the “best of the best” when it comes to nightlife in Newcastle with venues like Jalou, Revolution and The Newcastle Tap (to name a few).

The Quayside

Situated alongside the River Tyne, Newcastle’s Quayside boasts some fantastic places to drink, dance and celebrate on your last night of freedom!

Offering brilliant views of the river and the city’s iconic bridges, The Quayside is home to lively and popular venues like Pitcher and Piano, Hard Rock Café and BrewDog’s Urban Garden bar!

The Head of Steam

The Dog & Parrot

A popular Rock n’ Roll bar that’s best known for its live music nights, The Dog & Parrot stays open past midnight throughout the week and would make for a great place to grab a few pints.

Urban Garden by BrewDog

Quayside, NE1 3DE

An open-air riverside bar owned and operated by popular Scottish chain BrewDog, the Urban Garden makes for an great place to enjoy a few pints in the sunshine whilst taking in the stunning views of the nearby Tyne Bridge.

Harry’s Bar

Found just a short distance from Grainger Market, Harry’s Bar is a cool and classy American-style bar that’s best known for its delicious pizzas, wonderful cocktails and a lively atmosphere that’s hard to rival.

Popworld

A late bar / club playing cheesy 2000s playlists, Popworld Newcastle offers a lively atmosphere with many hen parties also attending.

Depending on where you are and where you need to get to, there’s a whole host of ways to get from A to B on your Newcastle stag do:

The Tyne & Wear Metro, known as the Nexus, is the easiest way to navigate Newcastle and its surroundings. With four stations covering the city centre, this makes for a quick and cost-effective way to get from A to B.

Taxis also make for a great way to get around Newcastle. Not only are there a host of local firms, such as Blueline and LA Taxis, to consider, but you can also grab an Uber if you’re stuck for options.
