You’ll be slap bang in the heart of amazing transport links if you stay at this hotel, with York train station literally next door. Most major attractions and all the shops are only about 10 minutes away, so you’re away from the commotion but not too far away to visit. The interior is filled with tonal greys and velvet furniture, with huge mirrors dotted around. There over 150 rooms available to stay in, all giving off a luxurious vibe all thanks to the marble-clad bathrooms, tuck boxes and huge beds.

2. The Grand York
Known for being York’s only five star hotel, The Grand York is not one to miss out on whilst visiting this city. You can find everything you could ever need all under one roof here – we’re talking luscious rooms, a spa, restaurants, a pool and much more. If you do fancy venturing out though York station is across the road and all the main shopping streets are a short 10 minute walk away. There’s many original features of the Edwardian building kept throughout such as dark wood doors, stone staircases and huge corridors. The rooms themselves cover all budgets and all come with a great amount of space, but if you want a trip to the spa you’ll have to pay a little more or book yourself into an executive room or above.

3. Dean Court Hotel
Don’t expect peace and quiet at this hotel as you will literally be a stones throw away from the Minster (one of Europe’s greatest medieval cathedrals). It’s by far the best place to stay if you want to go sightseeing, everything is within walking distance! The staff on hand are super friendly and always willing to suggest places to eat, things to do and answer any questions you have. There’s only 37 rooms in total but each one is decorated with soft greys, with the occasional rooms being cherry red. You will for sure feel like you’re sleeping in luxury, especially if you get a room which has views of the Minster.
