What Happens During the Chain Reaction Team Event?

If you’re looking for the perfect icebreaker in or out of the office, then the Chain Reaction team building activity is a great option for your company. Created to give your hard-working workforce a little break, get your office together and learn to collaborate, design, and build your very own crazy contraptions. There will be clues and challenges thrown in along the way that your co-workers will also need to complete in order to successfully build their chain.  It’s the perfect opportunity to improve working relationships, get those brains working and boost your staff’s confidence.

What’s Included

Event Format

On the day, the event will begin with a short briefing on how everything will run delivered by your event co-ordinator. After that, they will split the room up into smaller teams before assigning each of you a section of the contraption to build.

With all of your materials included on the day, you will need to be creative and inventive to make use of the kit you’ve been provided with, using creative skills to build up your section and making sure it connects well with the preceding and following sections.

When time finally runs out, the big test run will begin! Starting with the first section, the idea is for the entire chain reaction to work smoothly from start to finish. If you’re successful, the run will end with a confetti cannon! Not only is it a great way to motivate your team and give them the chance to unleash their creativity, but you’ll also feel a massive sense of achievement by completing this tricky challenge.

Where Does the Chain Reaction Activity Take Place?

If you have a large empty space within your office then you can choose to host this event there. However, if you want to get out the office, we offer a free venue finding service to help you book the perfect venue to suit you.

How is Chain Reaction Beneficial?

This event encourages your co-workers to use vital skills such as problem solving, communication, creativity and instruction following. All these skills are used day to day in work life, so it’s important to allow your colleagues to develop these skills within different environments, especially if they can have fun at the same time!

We fed back to the team, what an excellent event they setup for us! It was by far the best team building activity we held all year – we wish we could do them like this more often. The management team and all those who took part raved about the task and how well it worked for team building.

The team had a great day and it pretty much ticked all the boxes for what we were trying to achieve. The games were interesting, varied and played to a wide variety of skills. Our hosts for the day were awesome - really enthusiastic, provided help where necessary and kept the energy levels high.

The meeting as a whole went very smoothly and this chain reaction activity complemented it very well. The TEVA team were well engaged and really liked doing the task. Kirsty and Paul were both great on the day, very flexible and accommodating, as well as helpful where needed. They also fitted around our timetable well and prepped the room very quickly.
