Boasting to be the oldest underground nightclub in the world still in operation, Sub Club Glasgow has been providing this Scottish city with unbelievable club night raves since 1987. Hosting big-name acts like Franz Ferdinand and Primal Scream over the years, it’s no wonder that this club had been previously voted into Resident Advisor’s Top 10 list of nightclubs in the world! Although only a small venue with a capacity just under 500 people, this place is still worth the visit if you get the chance!

2. La Cheetah Club
In the heart of the Merchant City area you’ll find the ever-popular La Cheetah Club Glasgow. An intimate basement venue situated beneath Max’s Bar & Grill, this small venue still packs a mighty punch when it comes to bringing in some of the world’s biggest DJs in electronic music to the city. Another fantastic basement nightclub worth mentioning has to be Bamboo Glasgow, featuring three spacious rooms and a massively popular place to party especially for the local student population. Situated right in the middle of the city centre, just a few minutes’ walk from Glasgow’s Queen Street train station.
