1. Goblins Pub Bratislava
A cool and laid-back underground bar, Goblins Pub Bratislava is a fantastic Irish tavern that can be found below the bustling Michalska street. Boasting all the charm you’d expect to find from an Irish pub, this place hosts regular live music nights and serves up some great beer from Ireland and the rest of Europe, including Guinness (of course!). If you’re feeling a bit hungry, they also serve some amazing burgers here to keep your hunger at bay. With a foosball table inside as well, this Bratislava bar is definitely worth stopping off at on the last night of freedom.
2. Bukowski Bar
Situated inside an historic building and split over three floors, Bukowski Bar Bratislava can be found in the heart of the city, right on the doorstep of the Centrum tram stop. Specialising in awesome cocktails, this Bratislava bar boasts tonnes of charm with its stripped-back décor and minimalist furniture. Open ‘til late throughout the week and even later on weekends, this place has a great atmosphere and is definitely worth checking out.

Just as the name suggests, Cuba Libre Bratislava is the perfect place to enjoy your night out in the city with a sophisticated edge. Supplying some of the best cigars found anywhere in the city, this place is perfect for kicking back and relaxing in style. Of course, we can’t condone smoking, but if this is something that would take your fancy, it’s worth noting that you can still smoke indoors at most bars in Slovakia, and this place is no exception.
4. 17s Bar Bratislava
Overlooking the old Town Square in the heart of the city is the lively and popular 17s Bar Bratislava. With a huge selection of tap and bottled beers, this Bratislava bar has a cool and cosy atmosphere inside, making it the perfect place to enjoy a few drinks on your night out. If you happen to pass by in the day, this bar also hosts a large beer terrace to the front of the venue covered by trees lining the street.
5. Lemontree Sky Bar Bratislava
With stunning views of Bratislava Castle and the rest of the city, the Lemontree Sky Bar is a fantastic place to enjoy a few drinks with an added bonus! Situated just across the road from the last entry on this list, this Bratislava bar isn’t the biggest inside, but it features a terrace that wraps around the outside of the building, perfect both during the day and at night. Open ‘til midnight throughout the week except for Sundays, the Lemontree is a bar that’s definitely worth taking a look at.
6. Starter Pub Bratislava
For a proper no-nonsense pub experience, Starter Pub should be your go-to when it comes to bars in Bratislava. Known for its lively atmosphere, this Bratislava bar has lots of space to get sat down with bench-style seats and lots of cosy annexes and rooms. A British-owned Bratislava bar in the heart of the city, The Red Lion is a little slice of home, serving all the best beers from back home plus loads more from around the continent. If you’re looking to catch some live sports, whether it’s rugby or football it’ll be showing here on the big TV screens.
